We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Investment
Consultant to join our team. Alan Biller and Associates
has been growing at 18+ percent per year—all through
referrals—and offers one of the lowest consultant-to-client
ratios in the business. Our consultants pride themselves
on consistently exceeding our clients’ expectations
and delivering the best academic thinking tempered
with sound judgment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the face of the firm for your clients
and the service providers, money managers, and
custodian bankers that work with them
- Act as the key facilitator among all parties
involved in any investment-related issue
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with
the trustees, money managers, attorneys, administrators,
and other decision makers for each account, and
keep them informed about their portfolios and
other related issues
Requirements:
- MBA and CFA designation
- Minimum of 12 years of related experience
- Solid interpersonal communication skills
- Able to write and speak clearly and effectively
on technical investment subjects to a nontechnical
audience
- Ability to deliver compelling presentations
and comfortable using a laptop in presentations
- Strong quantitative abilities
- Proactive and extremely well organized
- Confident, motivated, and results oriented
- Bright, energetic, high integrity, and a strong
work ethic—must be a team player
- Capable of leading and maintaining multiple
demanding client relationships
- Solid business acumen; comfortable relating
to a wide range of client contacts
- Ability to travel approximately 40 percent (within
the US)

We are seeking an experienced analyst to measure investment
performance for our largest, most complicated institutional client portfolios,
representing all asset classes, including private equity, hedge funds, real
estate, and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Calculate, analyze, and report performance, attribution, and statistics
- Reconcile manager return
- Monitor and reconcile data used within reporting systems
- Ensure accurate and timely performance measurement and attribution reporting
- Work internally with other analysts, research, and consultants, and externally
with custodian banks, money managers, and administrators
- Respond to client and manager inquiries
- Coordinate cash movements
- Help monitor and review client investment policies
General Requirements:
- 4+ years performance measurement experience
- Advanced degree in business, economics, math, or finance
- CPIM or CFA preferred
- Demonstrated self-sufficiency and extremely well organized
- Personable and superb communication skills
- Strong team member
- Superior attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Outstanding client service skills
Technical Requirements:
- Comprehensive knowledge of performance measurement, GIPS standards, and
financial markets
- Proficiency with statistical methods and capital markets
- Ability to quickly research and resolve data integrity issues
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, Mellon Analytics, MPI, and database query
tools (MS Access)
